“Miss Kyrie Borzoi”

Winter came early for Kyrie. She collapsed on the morning of Sept. 28, 2012, and I rushed her to the vet. They were unable to do anything for her pain and so I let her go. She was 12 years old. Love you forever, my fairy dog.

January 2001, Cazadero, Calif. Kyrie brings a touch of glamour to the grey, scruffy Caber Feidh hounds. With her flashy, shiny, silky coat, delicate build, gorgeous head, and combination of devilish ways, amazing speed and agility, and sweet, dainty personality, Kyrie is a delightful addition to our family.

Kyrie came to us “on loan” to raise with Bran, and of course we fell in love with her and couldn’t let her go. She and Bran are quite the pair when taken out for walks together, and I don’t know if she thinks she is a deerhound or he thinks he is a Borzoi! She is also my only lap dog, and loves to slip her little nose under the blankets on my bed while I’m asleep, followed by the rest of her body. I often wake up to find her pressed into the narrow space between me and the edge of the mattress, her legs sticking straight out off the edge.

Kyrie’s most famous adventure is The Runaway Borzoi and the Lingerie Leash.
